Setting Up in Outlook

To configure your email in Microsoft Outlook:

a. Gather Email Settings

You'll need the following details:

Incoming Mail Server mail.yourwebsite.com
Outgoing Mail Server mail.yourwebsite.com
Port (IMAP) 993 (SSL) or 143 (Non-SSL)
Port (POP3) 995 (SSL) or 110 (Non-SSL)
SMTP Port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS)
Username Full email address (e.g., [email protected])
Password Your email password

b. Configure in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
  2. Choose Manual Setup or Additional Server Types, then click Next.
  3. Select IMAP or POP3 (IMAP is recommended for syncing across devices).
  4. Enter your Account Information:
    • Your Name: Your display name.
    • Email Address: [email protected].
    • Incoming/Outgoing Server: mail.yourwebsite.com.
    • Logon Information: Enter your email address and password.
  5. Click More Settings > Outgoing Server Tab:
    • Enable "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
    • Select "Use the same settings as my incoming mail server."
  6. Under the Advanced Tab:
    • Set the ports as per the table above.
    • Enable SSL/TLS if required.
  7. Click OK and then Next to test the settings. If successful, click Finish.
